Beta Glucan Specifications

Is the highly purified cell wall fraction gained from pure culture yeast of the species S. cerevisiae.  The crude yeast cell walls are subjected to a complexe purification process and then finally dried.  Our Beta Glucan stands out for its content of high molecular glucan. The glucan is characterized by the (1,3)-B-D-, (1,6)-B-D- and (1,3)-(1,6)-B-D-linkages of its glucose units.  The fine powder is of cream white to light beige appearance.

Applications:  This product is ideal for health food applications as well as clinical food supplement supporting post-treatment remedies.  It is also suited for encapsulation.

Benefits:  B-(1,3)(1,6) glucan is known as an immunomodulant.  In many in-vitro and in-vivo studies modulation of the activities of the body defence system, such as macrophages, granulocytes and monocytes were reported.  Glucan is the one of the very first immunomodulant studied.

Storage: Store under cool and dry conditions.  Keep containers closed when not in use.

Shelf life:  24 months, if unopened and stored under 30 degree C (8 degree F) and less than 80% humidity.
